My passion for service began at an early age while spending countless hours at the coffee shop his parents owned in Amsterdam.
After finishing Hotel School with a specialty in cooking, service and pastry, I joined the Royal Dutch Navy for 6 years as a Purser.
On my return I worked as a Butler for the Dutch Royal Family for 8 years. During this time, I studied management courses, which eventually lead me to work as a Manager in several hotels and restaurants until I opened my own restaurant in 1980 with my wife.
After 12 years, I sold the restaurant and became a consultant for training butlers and staff in high-end restaurants and hotels including Altamer in Anguilla and the 7 * Pangu Plaza in Beijing, China.
My ambition is to educate the younger generation on the finer points of service that he has learned through the years.
